The D18 Sonde with sonde Eyelet End Cap or Sonde M10 Stud End Cap is a small, self-contained battery powered transmitter. The user can propel it through a non-metallic pipe or duct in order to locate the pipe. Once the sonde is in the pipe, the user can locate the sonde on the surface with a sonde locator or utility locator that has sonde mode.
Sondes are also built into other products such as a sewer inspection camera. The D18 Sonde is specifically designed for use in small diameter pipes or ducts and uses 33kHz frequency. It has two ends caps available that you can choose depending on your duct rodder connection and application. It uses two SR44 button cell batteries which give it an approximate 10-hour battery life.
